Marc Lane Ministries is a nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ by preaching, music, and sharing the Word of God through word and deed.

Spreading the love of Jesus
That is the whole of it. For nearly fifty years, Marc Lane Ministries has done one thing — put the love of Jesus in front of people in a way they can receive it.
Sometimes that is a verse of Scripture. Sometimes it is a devotional, or a message, or an old hymn that says what a person cannot say for themselves. Sometimes it is a phone call answered and a prayer prayed on the spot. The ministry has never been built on a building or a crowd — it has been built on encouragement, prayer, and the Word of God carried to whoever needs it that week.
That is still the work. Marc Lane Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

What we do now
The ministry keeps a steady rhythm. None of it is complicated, and all of it is free.
- Scripture
- A verse and a short devotional posted on Facebook every other week — Scripture opened and applied in plain language, in the spirit of the His Hands Extended devotionals Max led for more than twenty years.
- Prayer
- World Wide Prayer Partners — requests received, read, and put before the body of Christ to pray over. Max ran it by email for years; it lives on the website now.
- Service
- Service in Christ. Encouragement, prayer, and a hand where it's needed — the quiet part of the work, and the part Max gave most of his life to.
- Music
- We are not performers. But music is part of this ministry and always has been — Max's recordings, the hymns he loved, and singing that preaches as surely as any sermon.

Max took in prayer requests from around the world and sent them out by email to everyone who had agreed to pray. We’re doing it here now.
Send us what you’re carrying, or come pray over what others have sent. Every request is read before it’s posted, and stays on the wall as long as the person asks — a day, a week, a month, or ongoing.

In memory of our founder
Rev. Max Morgan Morris
May 12, 1933 — June 26, 2024
Max Morris founded Marc Lane Ministries in Cleveland, Tennessee, and led it as executive director for nearly fifty years. He named it for his two sons, Marc and Lane.
He was a gospel pianist before he was anything else — more than fifty albums recorded, songs of his own that churches still sing, and a weekly television program, A Preacher and His Piano, carried on CBN. Through the ministry he started World Wide Prayer Partners, held the His Hands Extended devotionals in Cleveland twice a week for more than twenty years, and filled churches with Red-Back Hymnal sings. Most of his life, though, went into something quieter: encouraging people one at a time, by prayer and by phone.

That greeting is where this ministry's whole message comes from. Jesus loves you — and so do we.
Max is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, JoAn Atkins Morris, their sons Marc and Lane, and their families. The ministry continues in his name.
